All You Need Is Love...

After a long day of work, and a sore body, nothing soothes the soul like a big bowl of fresh veggies and miso broth. South River Miso makes this amazing chix pea miso that makes excellent warm soup. Simply heat up some clean water and pour into a blender. I like to add some dulse or sea lettuce, olives, cayenne, lemon, coconut oil and a scoop or 2 of miso paste. Blend well and pour over chopped celery+ sliced greens.

And for dessert.....More Chocolate!!

Oh by the way, my knee if feeling great and I plan on being back on the trails next week. I will start off slow by doing a lot of long hikes but hope to hit the trails hard this winter and build a strong base so that my body can handle the pace and distance I hope to run come spring time. Thoughts of another Hat Run this year come into mind. That is if I can get back east...

Glad your knee is better. Thanks for the LOVE, definitely going to try the that soup. yum. love the quote on the South River site...

Food is the vessel of Life.
Because Life is another name for God,
Food could be called "the vessel of God."
If you truly respect and revere the Spirit
Then shouldn’t the first thing you do
Be to build a shrine within your own body?
