Summer is here and life is GREAT!!. As most of you know, my time at FoodWorks has come to an end. After nearly 4 years, I have decided to step down from my position and move onward. I must take the time to thank every customer for supporting me. Without you, my business would not have been a success.
Over the last year and a half, most of you have seen me go through many changes. This change to a raw lifestyle has brought so me so much joy. Never in my life would I have expected to be where I am today. These changes have lead me to the Tree of Life Rejuvenation Center in Patagonia, Arizona. I will take part in a 14 week spiritual live-food apprenticeship. On the 180 acre piece of property, I will learn the how-to's of live food prep, gardening, as well as building a strong spiritual practice through meditation and yoga.
This past weekend I just graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in NYC. What an AMAZING experience!! I am forever changed, having gone through this 10 month program. I have made some wonderful connections with people all over the U.S. These people, you know who you are, have helped me open my eyes to a whole new world. I have learned the importance of self respect, love, and forgiveness. I realize that I must keep it simple and tread lightly on this earth. I have learned that if given a chance, or bodies can heal ourselves. We truly are what we eat and we must make choices, not only for ourselves, but for the generations to come!!
AS I begin to develop my business, I look forward to bringing this newly acquired knowledge to my practice as a chef and holistic health counselor.
On June 25th, roughly 9am, I will head west on a 3 week cross country trek before reaching Arizona. I plan on visiting Boulder-Colorado, Jackson Hole-Wyoming, Montana, Oregon, and California. I plan on doing some mountain running, rock climbing and biking through some of the most beautiful parts of the country.
I will be looking for possible couches to crash on in exchange for cacao treats and home cooked meals!!
Please stay tuned for more posts as I make my way out west!!
